ZitatAlles anzeigenEngine trouble was me. Looks like we'll never know if it was due to
tuning on the engine or not. 5 cars in the UK now running K04 turbo
upgrade. Totally transforms the car - don't drive a car with it because
you can never go back.
Backdraft and AmD both offer this solution. Backdraft are repairing
my car with stronger components to create a sizable safety margin. More
details to follow.

The standard KTM chargecooler is emerging as a weakness on the X-Bow.
Mine failed too, causing other components to fail within the engine.
AmD and Backdraft have both now developed upgraded chargecoolers.
The Backdraft chargecooler is being fitted to my car this week. It's
a motorsport grade part, 20% larger and substantially stronger/more
efficient than the KTM part. I'm sure Mark will be along shortly to
tell us more.

I think KTM may have a problem here...
The standard chargecooler would appear to have very little if any
performance/capacity in reserve (unlike the rest of Audi
engine/transmission). If it fails, it can cause engine damage.
Yet KTM's own approved tuning partner ABT are about to begin
offering remaps and turbo upgrades that don't include an uprated
chargecooler.
It wouldn't surprise me if before long, even completely standard
cars begin failing due to the marginal nature of the standard
chargecooler.
Mehr Power bedeutet nicht höhere Kurvengeschwindigkeiten und bedeutet damit auch nicht höhere Fliehkräfte für die Ölversorgung.
