I have a non-starting XBow.
it cranks but does not fire up.
fuses and relays seem fine.
Since the ignition works and starter motor is being engaged I’m assuming it’s not an immobiliser or pedal sensors issue.
We pulled a fuel line and there is no fuel coming in so assuming it’s the low pressure fuel pump. Any ideas on which pumps are used? It’s a circa 375hp CDL engine with K04 turbos.
Anyone had a similar problem before?

Hi - so I managed to make this work on my 2008 XBow with CDL engine fairly simply.
I bought an OBD extension cable from Amazon which had exposed wiring. After a bit of googling for the connector manufacturer/datasheet I managed to see how to extract the pins 3,11,6,and 14. I reinserted 3 and 11 into the place vacated by 6 and 14...and voila, one working OBD port!

I bought an extension cable with two female jacks so that I would retain a 'normal' obd port too. Ultimately I am building taps for my Racelogic VBOX HD2 system to pick up CAN data (Revs, Throttle position, etc) and power.
The OBD reader I used is a simple Carly one...but it works now. Managed to clear an EML code (thugh do need to figure out why P0501 is showing!)

Hi - looking for help in opening the rear fuse box lid. This sits under the rear support frame rod. So I can’t take the cover off. Is there any way of doing this without removing the rear strut rod between tub and rear frame?

Ok - managed to do it.
Next problem - the indicator part is an integrated section, looks like you can’t change the bulb.
So one has to order a new whole indicator part?

The first instruction to “peel off the glass” - is this what it means? To pull the glass off?? How do you reattach it then?
Hi - I need help in changing the side indicator light that is under the side wing mirror on a 2008 XBow.
I can't get the wing mirror off and do not want to force it in case I break anything.
1. Do I need to take the whole mirror assembly off? If so, any guidance on how to do it? I've removed the two screws underneath, and the one small screw next to them...but it still does not budge.
2. If I do not need to remove the mirror assembley then can I just remove the clear glass bit? Is that so..how?

Alternatively there is also the 225/45.
Basically I have a set of Yoko A052 265/35-18 for the rear and am trying to find an avalable matching set for the front axle on std alloys.
So with 265/35 on the rear, the options for the front are:
- 205
- 215/40 (not 45)
- 225/45
Any suggestions for best match?
I use 215/40-17 and 265/35-18
I am finding problems trying to get 215/45-17 I can see some 215/40 available. My maths tells me that is a ~10mm reduction in profile height.
How are you finding the 215/40? Are you using them for hard track use or just road driving?

Looking for feedback on tyre sizes and tyres
I need some high performance track tyres on OEM 5 bolt wheels. Typical sizes I have used in the past are:
215/45/17 fronts
255/35/18 rears
However I have heard people also use 265 rears. Any examples of this? Any other sizes being used for fronts too?
As for manufacturer I'm thinking Yoko A052 or equivalent. Anything better out there?

Hi - so revisting this thread.
I recently bougth some Pirelli slicks but we could not mount them on the Racing wheels. Apparently the XBow wheels have a strange 'lip' that the pirellis could not mount on.
Apart from the standard Michelins, which other Slick brands work with KTM wheels?
It was awesome there. Love the circuit. Of course there are a lot of elevation changes and sitting so low in the car it is fun finding out where the next turn goes
The main straight makes the engine do a lot of work.
Dont want to come across as being negative, but according to someone i know who has raced Xbows and worked on them for years, all the rear wing does is slow the car down???
I think it depends on circuit and cornering speeds.
I also was of the suspicion that perhaps it only gives drag for little benefit. However recently at Portimao I changed the rear wing to the smaller road wing for one session....it was scary at final corner where at 160kph+ the rear of the car losing grip was not fun! Also turn 1 braking from ~225kph you also feel the rear has less grip and unstable (but maybe brake bias could improve that).
Separately when I took off the rear wing at a local UK track (Snetterton) it was more fun as the rear was 'looser' and the car rotated more. However corner speeds are not as high as Portimao.
Dijon, I suspect it slows you down more but haven't tried it without the big wing
